Choir Tour Part 1

Today we travelled to Coventry for the choir tour weekend. All arriving in good time, we enjoyed a spot of lunch in the ruins of the old cathedral, bombed and largely destroyed internally during the war.

Refreshed, fed and watered, the choir rehearsed for a couple of hours in the song school, while we walked round town, before 30 mins in the new cathedral.

Just before 5pm we started the service from the side aisle with a magnificent introit and the rest of the service continued with similar brilliance. There was a healthy congregation and the Dean in charge was highly complimentary of the choir.

The service done, we headed back to the hotel for a quick freshen up before bowling and burgers. We had a fabulous time with friends. St John’s Choir really is the best for music, social life and friends.
