Today we celebrated the end of term with the annual carol service at Bath Abbey. I’d had an early start being collected at 7.30am by Chris, allowing me a rehearsal on the organ before the Choir arrived.
Rehearsals done, seats being taken, I played the organ to a full Abbey for about 15 minutes. I was even shown playing on the screens around the Abbey!
I was very lucky to have my support team with me, Mummy, Daddy, Granny, Baba and Chris! After the service, I was congratulated by my Head teacher, Sally Divall and Many people asked Mummy to pass on their congratulations to me. I don’t think people really knew what I could do on the organ. I felt very lucky that Huw Williams, the organist at Bath allowed me to play on such a great instrument.
After the voluntary, I joined Stonar Choir for the rest of the service.
What a fabulous start to the holidays!
