Summer Celebration

Today it was my turn to play at Bath Abbey for the Stonar Summer Celebration. I got there early to have a quick rehearsal before the Choir arrived.

Here are a couple of recordings from it.

After playing at the start of the service I joined the Choir for the rest of it. We sang several anthems and descants. It’s not a formal service like the Christmas one, but it’s very lovely to be back in the Abbey.

I really enjoyed playing while people took their seats. Mummy and Daddy were really proud of me and lots of people gave kind comments after the service. Most said if they’d not seen me on the screen they’d not have believed it was me!

I’m hoping at the next service I’ll be able to play as part of it. My confidence with large groups listening is growing. I’ll have to start picking out some music!

  1. Anna Congratulations on this wonderful, bold and dramatic playing. Indeed no one would guess that you are in Year 8. I am so glad that you had such a splendid day. Very best wishes to you and Jamie for your Bishop’s Award exam tomorrow. Christopher Joseph
