This evening I was privileged to play at a concert raising funds for Evie’s Gift. It was a fantastic evening of music with organ, flute, piano and singing. Evie’s Gift is a charity, created following the death of 13 year old Evie just under a year ago. Her parents described her as a warm hearted giver and set the charity up in her memory to give to those in need when they have sick children in hospital. The charity helps cover the cost of accommodation for a few nights, travel and food, so parents can stay with their sick child. You can see more about the charity on their website Evie’s Gift
It’s the first time I’ve had a piece written about me in a programme!
Michael had organised the concert and invited me to play the organ opening and closing the concert. As well as being honoured to be invited to play, it was lovely to be back over at Edington Priory, where I first played the organ. I didn’t have any pictures at the concert, it didn’t feel appropriate, but this is from my rehearsal earlier in the day. Once again Chris was by my side supporting me.
