An afternoon of two halves

This afternoon, the final Eisteddfod concert took place in Devizes Town Hall with a fantastic mix of music and drama. We heard a variety of instruments; flute, trumpet, piano, cello and voice and some fantastic talent. With a packed room it takes a lot of courage to perform. St Johns choir we’re invited to sing at the end of the event.

The concert finished at 4.15pm and we headed straight to church for a Valentines service, celebrating marriage with anthems, hymns, readings and organ music traditional to the occasion. It included vow renewals for those already married and promises for those who will be getting married. It was a really special service and lovely to be part of.

This week is busy! I have a concert on Tuesday, head to Cheltenham College on Thursday and Cambridge on Saturday. Hopefully I’ll have some videos to share.
