Palm Sunday

I love the traditions we have for Palm Sunday following the donkey from St Mary’s Church to St John’s Church, with everyone holding their palm crosses, including the donkey and singing hymns.

The traffic waits for us as we cross the roads

and people stop and stare as we walk through town

Arriving at church, Chris jumps on the organ, the choir and congregation meet in tempo and tune and the service begins.

It’s a special service each and every year, especially lovely when it starts in the sunshine. This week is going to be another busy one as we enter Holy Week and of course a lesson with Daniel Moult!

  1. A “grand day out” in fine weather and with a well-behaved donkey! The Hurford anthem was a special tribute too. Best of luck with your lesson – I’m sure you will be great, as always
