Stonar Summer Celebration

Today we enjoyed the Summer Celebration at St Stephen’s Church in Bath. Like at Christmas, the Abbey is not able to host such a service at the moment as it’s undergoing works and St Stephen’s are kind enough to host us.

I arrived with the choir for rehearsals, a quick run through of the items we were singing including Swing Low and Amazing Grace, two of my favourites with Stonar Chamber Choir.

As everyone took their seats I played a selection of organ pieces, a great opportunity to play my grade 7 pieces in public again ahead of the looming exam!

The service is a celebration of the academic year ahead of external exams which start next week. We enjoyed a range of music, drama and readings performed by students from year groups 3 to 13.

This afternoon there were Inter House events, involving some fabulous looking inflatables. I thought it best to ensure my bones stayed intact, so caught up in homework and packed, ready for D of E which is this weekend!
