WBOA Concert

This afternoon I was privileged to play at the Wiltshire And Bath Organists Association Concert. It’s the first time I have been invited to play. I wish I’d gone to some of the concerts previously as it was a great opportunity to hear a wide range of music.

It was held at St John the Baptist Church in Bathwick which is quite beautiful.

The organ was very bright and I loved playing it, with the bonus of Chris changing settings for me which really lifted the Philip Moore Paean piece.

I’ve not managed much practice this week following my operation, but other than an early wrong note I was very happy with the piece and had so many lovely comments afterwards. It really lifted my spirits and I’ve never had an introduction like it! I hope you like it (sound only) Philip Moore Paean

Back to school tomorrow and next weekend a concert in Seend. It’s not long until the end of term!

  1. That looks like a lovely church. We have a Serbian Orthodox Cathedral it reminds me of that you must take a look inside if you’re ever in Birmingham. Must visit it sometime!

  2. Anna you are absolutely amazing. In the very distant days, when I was young, I can recall pupils having weeks off school after an appendix operation. Here you were, among professional organists, giving this great performance on this bright organ. Another triumph!
