End of term!

It’s the end of the choir term and year. We’ve achieved so much in the last year and have so many exciting plans ahead including a live broadcast on Radio 4, singing in Bath Abbey and Bristol Cathedral.

Today we’ve had a fabulous day of music making, first at church….

…..where I played the Motet (photo from rehearsal), recording from the service Teach me O Lord by Atwood

and then this afternoon at one of our favourite places, Orchardleigh, the church on the lake, the one with no power, candle lit services and a hand pumped organ.

This evening I had the privilege of playing the organ, while the choir sang ‘Teach me O Lord’ again. A different congregation, so not exactly a repeat. They are always so grateful for our visit and we are always so happy to be there. Just eighteen of us cram into the small space by the altar. Chris conducts, plays and sings, usually all at the same time. It’s a wonderful visit and a superb way to end the choir term.
