At our service today we said goodbye to the phenomenal Rev Ben Rundell-Evans. Ben trained at St John’s and after his ordination I was privileged to play at his first communion service. Ben was the youngest person to be ordained at the time. At St John’s we’re proud to be his first church and we all believe he will go a long way, maybe even the Archbishop of Canterbury one day (I hope so!).
The church is looking lovely with Christmas Tree Festival and stunning decorations. It felt right this community event was happening during Ben’s last week with us.

As sad as it was to say goodbye to Ben, I was thrilled he agreed to present the choir awards today, including my Gold Award Medal.
Here I am with Ben and Chris after the service.

We’ll next see Ben at his installation service in the Upper Stour Benefice in January. Choir have been invited to sing. I think a tear or two might be shed at that service.
You look lovely wearing your Gold badge. Dr.Anna can’t be far away now!!!!
