It has been a very strange term for learning. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have a fully structured online learning programme from Stonar. However this has meant lots of screen time as we have lessons through Teams and Zoom. After the school day has ended we have prep and clubs, including the Family ‘pub’ quiz each Thursday which I thoroughly enjoyed.
It’s all taken some getting used to, but I’ve realised, as strange as it is, this style of learning actually suits me! This week I was given a Head’s Commendation as follows:
‘Anna has been producing work of an exceptional standard since the start of this term. Her answers in music are comprehensive, insightful and go beyond what is required of her at this level. She challenges herself with extension tasks, has completed all the listening questions in good time and offers mature answers to extended questions which demand greater understanding and higher-order thinking. Her ability to work independently and complete research without prompting has led to some exemplary note-taking.
I was delighted to receive a certificate in the post, along with a card from our Head, Mr Way congratulating me and encouraging me to keep going. It’s great to have this support from Stonar.
Now it’s half-term and time for a little downtime!
