This time last year I was in hospital and had my appendix removed. Sadly it meant I was unable to take part in the Pembroke College, Cambridge Bach-a-thon organised by Anna Lapwood as planned. The now annual event takes place in June each year. You’d think lock down would mean it can’t happen this year. But no!
This year, more organists than ever are taking part. From students to international recitalists, 53 of us are sending in recordings to contribute to the 24 hour event. It’s not quite the same as playing in Pembroke College chapel, but it’s a wonderful event to be part of.
